With its nominal 8-ohm impedance and 102dB (1w/1m) sensitivity, the Cornwall can be driven with even the lowest-wattage and/or vintage amplifiers available. This doesn’t reduce their suitability for use with other amplifiers in the least.

I bought them looking for an alternative sound (low watt tubes, high-eff horn-like speakers) to my standard high watt, medium-eff cones and domes system. I’ll be trying them with my stable of 3 watt 2A3 SET, 18 watt EL34 PP, and 36 watt EL 84 PP amps. Webthe forte ii also sound a bit less nasally and boxy to me, and im not sure what to attribute it to. My forte have foam inside and my heresy do not, neither did the Cornwall. The forte has good bass, and fast, articulate bass more like a heresy (though not as taught), but it doesnt have the sheer impact of the 15" wooder. halfords huffy so sweet
